Georgia Dearns

Who are you and why did you do Class Comedians?

My name is Georgia Dearns, I go to St Mary’s College Wellington and I did class comedians because I thought it would be a great way to improve my speaking skills and my confidence speaking to big audiences.

What would you tell someone wanting to do Class Comedians next year?

To those who are considering doing it next year you should definitely do Class Comedians as you make so many friends and gain so many helpful tips for life and for future situations

What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt doing Class Comedians?

The most important thing i have learnt is just be yourself and people will like you way more if you just let loose and have fun.

What are you most excited about performing at the showcase?

I’m most excited about the adrenaline rush and the fact that people may actually find me funny which is a good thing in my case.

Why should people come to the showcase?

People should come to the showcase to see the range of personalities and talent we all have and to just have a good old laugh and enjoy yourself

Liam Edwards

Who are you and why did you do Class Comedians?

My name is Liam Edwards. I am 15 years old and I go to Heretaunga College. I saw the advertisement for Class Comedians outside the drama room and I thought and have been told I am funny.

What would you tell someone wanting to do Class Comedians next year?

Take the opportunity if it is offered and as best you can try to make it to every session because they are so informative and helpful. It’s a great experience to develop skills in comedy and meet new people.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt doing Class Comedians?

I have learnt that if someone laughs at something you say write it down, even if you think it won’t work on stage write it down it often will. Also take all opportunities given to you no matter what they are they can help in some way.

What are you most excited about performing at the showcase?

It would definitely be getting the laughs there is just something about people laughing at my jokes it is like jumping off a bridge for me the adrenaline is awesome.

Why should people come to the showcase?

Because I’m gonna be there… Na but seriously, everyone performing is so talented and there are very funny comedians and very funny jokes, so support the next generation of comics!

Kobe Taatiti

Who are you and why did you do Class Comedians?

I am Kobe Taatiti. 16 years of age attending the best bad school in New Zealand. Aotea College.  I joined class comedians because comedy is pretty fun tbh. I’ve always been interested in it and thought this would be a mad experience.

What would you tell someone wanting to do Class Comedians next year?

If you want to do class comedians next year do it. Anyway you can get in just do it. It’s mad fun and you meet some awesome people. And probably 1 terrible person.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt doing Class Comedians?

The most important thing I learned from class comedians is that everyone is terrible at the start. So if someone tells you that you’re not funny. They’re probably right.

What are you most excited about performing at the showcase?

I’m super excited about performing because I’m in love with the spotlight. Any chance I get to make people listen to me I will seize.

Why should people come to the showcase?

Come to the showcase. Just come. Do it. Dooooooo ittttttt.
